Erica has been part of the veterinary profession since 2006. She previously worked for Banfield the Pet Hospital in Darien, starting in 2006 as a Veterinary/Nursing Assistant, advancing to Lead Technician, and worked there until 2013. Currently attending Penn Foster College obtaining her Associates Degree in Animal Science, Erica has a strong interest in Emergency and Critical Care, as well as Neurology, which is what gave her the push to apply for Animal Care Center of Plainfield EMERGENCY in 2014. The experience that she is getting with emergency is beyond what she is used to in general medicine, but it has been a great challenge, wealth of knowledge and something that she truly enjoys. Erica is both one of our Emergency Technician’s and the Animal Care Center of Plainfield EMERGENCY Practice Manager.
In her spare moments, she studies for school since graduation is quickly approaching in the spring. All of the extra time otherwise is spent with her 3 young daughters going to the park, playing games, and riding bikes / going for walks, or “adventures” as they call it. She also has 1 furry babies, a kitty named Charlie. Between the four of them, they keep her quite busy and active but it is a lot of fun creating all kinds of memories with them. They are her motivation for being dedicated in succeeding with school and being the very best she can be with her work.
