Did you know dental care is just as important for your pet as it is for you? Just as it is with people, dental disease is a major contributor to to any animals overall health. Lack of attention to this matter can affect your pet over time including loss of teeth, infections, oral pain, and can lead to major medical problems throughout their entire body.
Each pet is different, so finding the right way to improve your pets dental hygiene may be a little bit of some trial and error. Not only that, but consistency and repetition are a necessity. Ideally brushing their teeth routinely is the best option. Sometimes, however, we do have to incorporate alternate methods of dental care including: dental sprays, treats, dental diets, and even professional cleanings may be indicated.
Routine dental assessments should be performed on your pet, and recommendations specifically tailored to your pets needs can be determined at that time.
